I am currently in my second year of the Ph.D. program. Before this, I completed my Master’s degree in Applied Urban Science and Informatics in the United States. I have gained practical experience through two internships—one focused on software algorithms and the other on radio frequency signal testing. Outside of my academic pursuits, I enjoy exploring new places, particularly around Dublin, where the scenic landscapes offer great opportunities for photography. While I’m still learning, capturing these moments brings me a lot of joy and helps me see the world from different perspectives.

In my daily work, I spend a lot of time in the lab using computer programming to build simulation environments and improve algorithms to enhance model performance. I also read research papers to stay updated on the latest developments in my field. Each week, I have a meeting with my supervisor to discuss my progress and set goals for the coming week. When I make significant discoveries, I write papers and submit them to academic journals. Occasionally, I also participate in academic conferences to learn about the latest research and connect with other researchers in the field.

My Typical Day:
I leave home around 9 a.m. and arrive at the lab by 9:30 a.m. I start my day by replying to emails and planning my tasks. Then, I get to work on my projects. Around midday, I take an hour for lunch and enjoy a walk around campus. In the afternoon, I continue working on my tasks. I usually finish up around 5:30 p.m. and head home.

What I'd do with the prize money:
If I win the €500 prize, I would use the money to help students in the class I assist. Some of their group projects need a server to run their applications, so I would use the funds to rent servers for the groups that need them.
